Application container reservations

Virtual Computing Manager provides both virtual machines and containerized applications (such as RStudio, Jupyter, etc.).

Containers are a lightweight method of packaging applications and are particularly well suited to web-based apps. Because containerized apps use significantly fewer resources than full virtual machines, we do not limit the number of containers you can reserve. Given a choice between reserving a VM and a container to run an application, you will probably want to chose the containerized version.
